"When we first pitched the idea of a summer camp wedding, we had a dream of bringing our people together for a full weekend of celebrating our love with cribbage tournaments, lake swimming, late night talent shows, and amazing food.

The folks at Bain Marie were immediately on board and exactly got the vibe we wanted to create. They asked all the right planning questions (and made all the right spreadsheets!) to pull off this dream and then some.

A bunch of our friends and family signed up to help out in the kitchen and all of them said it was one of the highlights of their weekend! From beginning to end, David, Jonah and Jocelyn made everything run incredibly smoothly, ensuring everyone felt valued for their work. They were super flexible with any adjustments to the timeline that had to happen on the fly.

So many guests said our food was the best wedding food they’d ever had! And the fact that it was almost entirely locally sourced from awesome Vermont farmers made it even better. At the heart of our vision was our belief that community grows from people creating together--and what better than delicious meals? Everyone had a helping role in our multi-day campout summer wedding festival, which went off without a hitch thanks to your leadership.

In the months beforehand, they expertly guided us in food planning and purchasing, and when the big week started we could just hand it all over into their capable hands. This task was made doubly hard by hosting the event on Martha’s Vineyard with only a vacation rental and a large wedding tent for food preparation, cleanup and dancing.

Their hardworking and cheerful professionalism gave us peace of mind to enjoy every moment of the festivities. The food was award-winning. The tacos mouth-watering; the wedding feast of fresh-caught fish and garden greens to die for; and all the meals in between nourishing, fun, and delicious. We are so grateful to all of them. "We are organized and relaxed people and it still came to a crescendo the week of our wedding. It didn’t help that our venue had to close the week of due to torrential downpours that flooded the property. The whole team oriented around the new location and worked together to transform the space in Medford into something just as meaningful as the camp we had hoped to use in the Siskiyou National Forest.

The planning and organization ensured that our friends and family had easy ways to plug in and enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend. Instead of being overwhelmed, we leaned on our community. Their leadership, hard work and attention to details inspired an atmosphere of conviviality.

Everything we cooked together was amazing. Our friends and relatives still talk about the pizza and paella welcome dinners and we have fond memories of a lazy Sunday brunch spent hearing all the speeches that didn’t fit on Saturday night (and were better for it)!”
